Brigitta Szabó

Dr. Brigitta Szabó is a senior research fellow at the Institute of Soil Science of the HUN-REN Agricultural Research Institute. Her research interests include soil physics, soil hydrology and environmental modelling. Under her leadership, European and Hungarian estimation algorithms for the calculation of soil water management properties, the European 250 m resolution 3D soil hydrology database (EU-SoilHydroGrids) and the Hungarian 100 m resolution 3D soil water management maps (HU-SoilHydroGrids) have been developed.

The OPTAIN international project is investigating the effectiveness of selected water and nutrient retention measures in domestic agricultural catchments.
