Attila Szabó

President of the Soil Restoration Farmers Association / Co-owner of Kukutyin Workshop Organic Farm, farmer

Since 2015, Attila Szabó has been bringing together dedicated farmers in soil regeneration. He organised the first SoilEdit conference in 2017, which has now grown into a two-day event known as REAG. Since 2018, he is a founding member and President of the Soil Renewal Farmers Association. He started his agricultural career in 2012 by qualifying as an agricultural technician, before setting up the Kukutyin Workshop Organic Farm with his brother in 2015.

Attila is not only a co-owner but also an active farmer in the business. From an initial 1 hectare, the farm has grown to 40 hectares. They grind their own stone mills and supply their quality flour to more than 40 bakeries across the country. They have stopped ploughing since 2012 and have been using regenerative methods since then. Since 2018 they have been using minimum tillage.
