John Kamptner

I have dedicated more than 15 years of my farming career to helping farmers across Europe improve soil health and farm productivity.

I studied agriculture at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna, specialising in soil science. I worked for 10 years as an agricultural researcher and consultant at Bowasan, Austria.

During this time, I worked with farmers mainly across Europe, and then from Germany to Azerbaijan, to find practical solutions to their specific, local productivity challenges.

As an advisor to conventional, organic and regenerative farms, I focus on building healthy, biochemically active soils that increase productivity while also focusing on the economic success of farming.

My mission is to help farmers achieve short and long-term success by combining practical soil management with sustainable practices.

Over the past 4 years, as Calmit's Head of Agriculture in 4 countries in the region, I have used my 1.5 decades of experience to develop strategies that benefit both farmers and soil.

Make our soils healthy for long-term sustainable fertility!
