Dr Snežana Jakšić
Dr. Snežana Jakšić, PhD in Agricultural Sciences, senior researcher and head of the Soil and Agroecology Laboratory at the Institute of Crop and Vegetable Production of the National Institute of the Republic of Serbia. His research interests include agrochemistry, sustainable agriculture, soil quality and protection, and carbon sequestration. He is secretary of the Serbian Soil Science Society and a member of the Centre of Excellence for Soil Science, the International Soil Science Society and the European Agronomic Society.
He has published more than 200 scientific papers and participated in numerous international scientific conferences. He has led and participated in several national and international projects on agroecology. Currently, he is the leader of the project "Climate Smart Soil for ZERO-CARBON Farms" (C-FARMS), which is implemented in the framework of the Interreg VI-A IPA Hungary-Serbia programme (2021-2027).
It contributes to the sustainable use of soil as a natural resource and to the promotion of measures to reduce the carbon footprint and improve environmental performance.
