Dr. Ferenc Tóth

Head of the Horticulture Group at the Ecological Agricultural Research Institute (EARI). He completed his university studies at the University of Agricultural Sciences in Gödöllő (later Szent István University, now the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences), where he then worked as a lecturer until the end of 2021. So far, he has 11 successful doctoral theses to his credit. His current soil health-related thesis work is related to the mapping of plant and soil conservation aspects of organic mulching, the potential uses of manure sludge and compost-based peat remediation. He is also involved as a team leader in research on the seeding of vine and orchard row crops with perennial wildflower seed mixes and in research on the horticultural production of seed pods.
